Financial Planning

We've all heard the term ... Financial Planning ... but what is it?

We pose this question in the hope of clarifying some common misconceptions about what Financial Planning actually is. Many think of it as wealth accumulation, and then assume it's an exclusive service for wealthy people only. Others associate Financial Planning with Estate Tax strategies, or Insurance and Risk Management. Many of our Baby Boomers readily associate it with Retirement Planning. In fact, Financial Planning is any or all of these topics, and others as well. It depends on you, and your financial concerns.

In its purest form, Financial Planning is a comprehensive process of understanding an individual's financial goals and concerns, as an integral part of their live. At Hayden Wealth we actually think of this as Financial Life Planning. We strive to help our clients develop a strategy to evaluate, refine and achieve their goals, and allay their financial concerns. Part of the process is quantitative, in which we scrutinize whether goals are realistic, and where a different game plan is needed. It should be recognized that more often than not, a change to one aspect of someone's finances will impact other aspects of their finances. Consequently, the process is multi-faceted. In some engagements, it may be necessary to bring a specialist into a case.

At Hayden, each engagement is tailored to that client (individual or couple); no two financial planning engagements are the same. We offer comprehensive planning, in which we cover the broad scope of issues, placing emphasis where most appropriate. In other cases, we prepare limited engagements, addressing only those areas of concern to our clients. We also offer complimentary, no obligation consultations to discuss a client's concerns, and determine whether we can help the client in their particular situation.

At Hayden, we are Certified Financial Planners, and we pride ourselves on being client focused. We do not use financial planning as a delivery system of selling you a product. Our areas of competence include Investment Management, Retirement Planning, College Planning, Tax Planning, Estate Planning and Risk Management.
